Kurt Henninger
AKA: "Pool Diver"
In 1988, with a gift certificate from my wife, I became an open water diver and then an advanced open water diver. It was love at first splash! I dove whenever and wherever I could: beautiful reefs, fascinating local wrecks, lakes and quarries. Finally in 2001 I became serious about rising through the professional ranks and became an instructor in 2003. It is a true joy to be able to pass on my love of the sport to others.
As a kid living near the beach in Florida I used to spend every possible minute snorkeling around the jetties and dreaming of seeing even more of the beautiful underwater world. Becoming an open water scuba diver allowed that dream to come true. The real underwater world is much more wonderful and enlightening than I had ever dreamed. Every dive brings something new and renews my sense of wonder of that world.
In the coming year I hope to certify my 100th student. I also hope to complete my 400th dive; that may happen on our upcoming trip this summer to Truck Lagoon and Palau
